Common questions
Do I need the Smart Meter to use a plug-in battery?
No. Without it the battery runs on a timetable — charging in your cheap-rate window and powering your home at peak times. The Smart Meter is an optional upgrade that lets it power your home first and store spare solar.
What does the £500 professional install include?
A technical survey, hardwiring to your consumer unit by an MCS-certified engineer, the smart meter, electrical certification and notifying your network operator (DNO).
Can every battery be professionally installed?
Not every model. The product page only shows the Installed option where it is available for that battery, and every install is subject to survey.
Can I switch from plug-in to installed later?
