How professional installation works

Installed by MCS-certified engineers (Fresh Solar). Includes technical survey, electrical certification, and DNO notification. Where your home qualifies, the battery is hardwired to your consumer unit and the energy meter paired; the survey confirms the model-specific household output and whether any backup equipment is included.

Flat fee per order — covers the whole site visit, hardwiring and smart meter fitting (the smart meter is included at no extra cost). The product page shows current availability; every order remains subject to survey.

What's included

Hardwired where approved

A qualified electrician uses the connection method documented for the selected model and agreed after survey.

Verified model-specific output

Installed output is confirmed from the exact model and configuration. Capacity and output are different measurements.

Compatible meter where required

The survey confirms whether the selected model uses a Shelly meter, a manufacturer CT or another supported control. We do not assume one meter works with every battery.

Certification and DNO notification included

Fresh Solar's MCS-certified engineers provide the electrical certification and notify your network operator (DNO).

Your install fee covers everything below. The vast majority of homes need nothing more — but if your property needs any of the listed extras, we always quote and agree the cost in writing before any work begins.

How it works

Enter your delivery address so we can confirm coverage and arrange the technical survey.

We confirm the model, proposed location, consumer unit, cable route, network process and any extra work before installation is agreed.

We deliver the battery and your install partner contacts you within 5 working days of dispatch to schedule the site visit.

On the day: installation to the agreed design, meter pairing where included, commissioning and electrical certification.

Prefer to plug in and go instead?

No installer needed. Plug-in batteries plug into a normal 13A socket. Out of the box they run on a timetable: charging in your cheap-rate window and powering your home at peak times.

Optional Smart Meter upgrade (+£200). Add it and the battery powers your home first and soaks up spare solar that would otherwise go unused. It is an upgrade, not a requirement.
